I have 45 luck, and star equipments at +5 each.

I finally saved up 250,000 over a week's time and bought it, however I am extremely disappointed. The facts are: when you change rods, the fish you are getting doesn't change. So the amount of profit stays the same, while your expenses just get higher.

With Hurricane +9 at Black Rock Beach I can profit around 4000g each run.
Now with Star Seeker +6, I was unlucky and missed 1 yellowfish, caught a skullboat, and the rest all Bulgyhead Wrase. I only came out with a meager 600g profit after fixing my equipment..

Is anyone able to use Star Seeker as their normal rod for everything, or is it only saved for the occasion of catching big fishes? It would suck I spend so much money for this then..

So I tried all my Rod's just now.

I found this:
156 for 5 Piece Equipment Repair
+
Rod repair
37 = 193 Solo Wise+7
132 = 288 Hurricane+9
189 = 345 Star Seeker+6

So If I used Star Seeker to cast once, it costs me 345g (not counting in baits), while it only costs me 193g to cast for Solo Wise.

Hmm.. I still have 1000+ attack after equiping Solo Wise, and after a run at the Sunset Lighthouse I was able to profit over 4000g, as it only cost 200g per cast, and I caught quite a few parrotfishes.

Time to go boss hunting. You don't need good rods to catch gold fish, you want it for the star fish.

Hmm just as I thought then.

I'll use my Solo Wise for gold hunting - which has been VERY effective. I should have started this earlier. The profit ratio is very high. Caught SS Parrotfish and selling right away means 900g profit right there and then.

Then like you say, Star Seeker will be used for bosses and tough fishes.

edit: And I just caught the Fat Bass with Solo Wise at Sunlight Tower easily too. I should have used this rod when I was farming gold previously.. probably with have saved a day or 2. Each trip it is cheaper by 1000+g compared to Hurricane.

Unless I am chasing something big and specific, I tend to leave my larger poles down in the premium areas, and fish with something really light, i.e. - Solo Wise or even sometimes my Alpha.

Been fishing with my Shark the Blood as my main rod today, but that's because I just bought it and it's pretty :lol:

Yeap Solo Wise is amazing.. I went to Black Rock Beach and profited 6000g on one trip today.. I was able to catch everything I caught with my Hurricane +8. When I went to repair, it was amazingly cheap, I felt no burden at all.

How Shark the Blood, is that the gold one or star one? How much does it cost to repair after 1 cast? I can't even begin to imagine :shock:

Seeking stars with Star Seeker

It's designed for this!?? :shock:

BTW, where should he start? And which bait should be use?

Secret Garden? It seems cost too much time between each cast.

Wapo River? If cannot get the boss fish, he will face gold loss.

Using S grade bait or A grade?

How to earn more stars? :? :

It's the star one. I'm at +6 so far on it, and repair is about 200 or so per cast.

For most people, the answer to this is fishing friend's tanks for eggs. No cost, and potential profit in stars.

So use Star Seeker ONLY for practice fishing? Is it a little waste? :shock:

Depends on what fish you're going for. As for the Secret Garden trio, Origin Alpha is enough given that you have the skill as a player.
As for the Wolffish, you probably want higher end rods unless you have way too much time on your hands.
