As far as i noticed GV changed the recommended baits of some fishes. Since they ( finally ) added the new spot fishes for comps i noticed it coz i am always taking a screenshot for comparing it. The stupid thing about it is that they forgot to change them in the fishing book. So dont wonder about it if you are trying to hook a fish and it wont bite like usual.
Now we only need to figure out which fishes are changed while trying to make a new comp fish schedule.
I already thought about finally erase the fishing book and just add the newest pic. But i just wanted to know what you guys thinking about. If anyone wants to post his catches to show their pride the fb fishingsuperstar.net site maybe should be the best place for it ? Please give me any respond coz i didnt even talked with my bromie toff about it.

Thanks fishermen and have a freakin awesome new years eve

While it is true that they made some changes, it doesn't necessary equate to change in actual bite rates. The recommended baits were and still are just recommended baits, by Gamevil, who we all know often make mistakes.

The 1st bait listed aren't always the best bait, in fact some fish will bite better with an unlisted bait. Pilotfish for example is listed with Shrimp, Earthworm, and then S.Spinner. But if you use Bug you'll actually get Pilotfish more often because every other fish will eat Shrimp, Earthworm, and Spinner better than Pilotfish itself.

As for the fish book section on the forum, I agree that some sort of clean up is needed because honestly the majority of information there are outdated, misleading, unorganized, or just plain incomplete.

Posted catches should be a different section, I believe the fish book should just contain facts about the fish.

Personally I prefer a large documented sample of bite rates instead of a picture of the 'recommended baits' by Gamevil.

Sounds good to me baity. The pic was just one of the simplest ideas i had in mind. But you are right that a kind of documentation would be more usefull.

As for the recommended baits i never had anything to complain about them except for a small nr of fishes. And i thought that the info is quite important for average players who i believe use the hint of the fishing book. On the other side i think it can be helpful to get to know which fishes are the ones who now have a new recommended bait as long its not changed by gamevil at the fishing book.

I noticed some other small changes too already like some fishes have a lower healing % and so on.

In fact i am thinking about quitting the co-admin title. I still will play the game but i dont show up as often like before and if i do then i am hidden what you guys already noticed. I only got that title just because i was the 1st official user who helped to build up the site a bit and i was the only one who was in contact with Malinovy after he disapeared for a long time and didnt took care as he should. And to be honest the oldies know that i never really wanted to be it. I am watching you new coloured guys since a while and i am really happy about the fact how great jobs you all do to keeping it up in here. The forum runs by itself because of you guys are carrying about it.

I had a great time with many of you and with some of the users i am still in contact. But its time to give the crown to someone else and retire from beeing the king :mrgreen:

So finally the people who are working so hard here can use the crown of a co admin and use the rights that this title brings with it to make the forum better or make some changes for making it more comfortable to use it equal if for noobs or pros.

Time to say goodbye, keep me in your friend list in game and i will talk to toffer to talk to you coloured guys about the rights etc.

I've been going through old records around the internet and my own, you're correct that some fish's health have been changed.

LV12 Manglo River:

Rhodeus Uyekii
Base Perfect: 300 -> 180
SSS EXP: 29? (Original data unclear) -> 43
SSS Gold: $243 -> $330

Still going through every fish to check for changes.

[ Added: 2013-12-29, 15:32 ]
Leather Carp
Base Perfect: No Change
SSS EXP: 69? -> 77
SSS Gold: $405 -> $504

Freshwater Ray
Base Perfect: 420 -> 400
SSS EXP: 45? -> 48
SSS Gold: $363 -> $384

Catfish
Base Perfect: 700 -> 540
SSS EXP: 91? -> 93
SSS Gold: $681-> $756

Silver Arowana
Base Perfect: No Change
SSS EXP: 102? -> 196
SSS Gold: $1,059 -> $1,116

Fancy Carp
Base Perfect: 900 -> 420
SSS EXP: 118? -> 63
SSS Gold: $864 -> $774

Peacock Bass
Base Perfect: 1100 -> 660
SSS EXP: 194? -> 135
SSS Gold: $1347 -> $972

Grass Carp
Base Perfect: 720 -> 560
SSS EXP: 110? -> 101
SSS Gold: $819 -> $807

Thai Masha
Base Perfect: 1100 -> 560
SSS EXP: 187? -> 128
SSS Gold: $1302 -> $840

... At this point I realized so many of them have changed so I'm pretty sure its time to just scrap our fish book section

Going to go through every site starting at Wapo River...

You can add the marine betta / anemone fish / not sure about parrotfish and many others too. Sounds like quite a lot of work. Someone told me that the BE is a lot harder to catch too but i dont know since when

Just talk to toff we are ready to give the forum in your hands

lol I just finished surveying Wapo River, everything's different. I'm guessing Riffle Valley and Fog Lake are different too.

Maybe yes but as far i fished from the at other sites and their spot the most fishes are like before. At windy i caught already every fish without the boss & sunfish. At jade warf and sunset lighthouse i didnt noticed any changes as well. Coral bay & Deep Blue Hole are like always too. Emerald Fjord and Weird Rock allthough. So you dont need to proof it coz i fished for fun at those spots or because of comp / daily quest. So you dont have that much work to do. As far as i know you, you still will check them to doing it correctly right ? :-D ;-) :-D

Yeah I'm going to go through them. Some of them have the same health as before but EXP and Gold changed.

At Evening Sunset Wharf, only Blue Dot Ribbon Ray, Zebra Shark, Meteor Sea Bass stayed the same while every other fish became easier with less exp/gold.

Still trying to catch Golden Ribbon Sea Bass to confirm, but it seems like strong fishes are left alone for the most parts.

I think most changes are at Evening Sunset Wharf and Manglo River, especially fish's health/PID.

I have the new values for all of these, I will post when I have everything.

=====Tested so far=====

Wapo River, every fish changed. (PA, EXP, Gold)
Exception: Big Black Snakehead? (Haven't caught one to confirm)

Riffle Valley, every fish changed. (PA, EXP, Gold)
Exception: Monster Pike? (Haven't caught one to confirm)

Fog Lake, every fish changed. (PA, EXP, Gold), including Pirarucu. Same Gold, less HP
Exception: King Pirarucu (Confirmed)

Secret Garden, haven't tested but 2 fish here are from Manglo River and another 2 from Kalde Lake. All 4 have changed so other fish here are likely to be different as well.

Manglo River, Most of the fish completely changed. (PA, EXP, Gold)
Some kept same PA but different exp/gold. e.g. Leather Carp
Barramundi: Same as before
Sturgeon: Haven't caught one to confirm
Angled Sturgeon: Same as before

Evening Sunset Wharf, all changed except the followings:
Blue Dot Ribbon Ray, Zebra Shark, Coral Sea Bass, Meteor Sea Bass
Golden Ribbon Sea Bass (Haven't caught one to confirum)

Clam Beach, all kept same PA, but major boost in EXP/Gold to all fish except Isurus and Platinum Trevally

Coral Bay, no change.

Since there's no change at Coral Bay, higher level sites are probably untouched. Will keep on checking.

It has always been possible to catch fish with unlisted baits. In fact there are fish out there that eats every bait, with different bite rates of course.

There are couple of things talked about here that have changed (or might have, still confirming)

1. Recommended baits listed by Gamevil

2. Actual bite rates (need a lot of work to confirm)

3. Fish's health, exp, and gold
So far almost all weak fish from LV1 Wapo River up to LV20 Clam Beach have had their stats changed. If you're relatively new to the game then you won't notice this. But needless to say, all data on the internet regarding these sites are now inaccurate, this forum included.

I think GV changed them to ease up new low level players. I mean, come on, for LV16 fishing site, Evening Sunset Wharf is quite a beast before. Now they tuned down almost every fish.
