do you know how long this event will last for? and has this event occurred before? first time seeing this in the past 2 months that i've played the game.

Till now there is no display showing up about the event or how long it takes. Still announcing misc sale. And yes this event happened before about 2 or 3 times. Its the rarest sale like it seems.

But again i have to say !!! CAUTION !!! only the items i posted above will be given out slightly more often then usual. Everyone who played cards without any sale should know that a rod from a card is very rare. Especially the rods out of epic cards

I agree with Mariusz. I gambled about 900 stars at one of the first event like this and got no rod. Be carefull! I saved some epic coupons and waited for this - hope I can get some new chums or a + 16 potion.

That's right. Rods from epic cards are very rare.
Spent about 30 epic coupons and no rods. I do won +16 potion though.
Even spent like 1M of gold playing normal and rare cards randomly didn't gave me any rods. only +10 and +11 potions, lots of S-baits and crappy clothing which I sold right away.

I got no rods from epic cards either. Spent 33 coupons which I'm saving for this event. But I do won a Star Seeker Sonic, a Hurricane Storm, a Golden Rod, a Rider Jacket which I don't really need because I have an assassin jacket, some SS and SSS chums, and +10, +12, and +15 upgrade potions.
Spent like 1M of gold in the process playing normal and rare cards randomly.

Got me a DIR from saved up epics, and got two more SSS as well. Finally I can start getting rid of some of my golden rods and hurricane storms as well.

Kamkam, please don't sell the H.Storms, still so good at windy specially for occasional events and competitions requiring medium luck such as Opaleye.
Still holding atm 4 H.Stoms even 10 Fl.Blades, thanks for the 70 stars and 35 golden keys i got from today's Sardine competition

Yeah I thought about it after I posted it and thought no way should I sell. They are both great rods for secret garden and windy area. I have 6 golden rods now and 3 hurricane storms, 77 SSS 2 STB and 1 DIR now.

I still keep my H. Storm and Golden Rods for catching some fish at premium sites, especially an event fish. Also they're still good for catching some monsters. Best I've caught with H.Storm is Silver Scale Halibut and White Tiger Shark with Golden Rod.

Also, was it a typo that you have 77 SSS?

Ehhhh I'm the only on to receive StB rod from this bullshit card coupons.

Changing the main topic still I cannot upgrade my rod to +16 (more than 10 attempts). I had it upgraded to +17 but some week ago my android crashed while I had fail upgrade attempt to +18 and I was unable to upgrade it back with stars. Now +16 potion would be handy.

I've failed at least eight or nine times upgrading OT from +11 to +12. The better your rod, more failed attempts at upgrading are guaranteed.
Now I'll grind some more gold to play the rare cards before the event ended
